Filming at Grand Villa Heights in Scarborough, was a fantastic experience. As a professional wedding videographer with NL-Videography, I am always looking for venues that offer a mix of unique architecture and stunning scenery, and this location delivers perfectly. The venue offers incredible versatility for wedding films, combining modern luxury interiors with breathtaking North Yorkshire coastal views. The backdrop of the sea provides a cinematic quality that is hard to find elsewhere in the region. The team at Grand Villa Heights was accommodating and professional, making it easy for us to capture the couple's day without any friction. For any couples planning a coastal wedding who want a venue that looks incredible on camera and offers exclusive service, I highly recommend this spot.

Very comfortable bedroom. The bed was a double. These days a larger bed is more common and more welcome. Breakfast was very nice, good choice and well cooked in comfortable surroundings. Staff were pleasant. Reasonably good value stay. The decor is odd and confused. Changed from the old 20s style and a bit shabby in places; to a new confusion of identity that jars and still shabby in places. Perhaps a work in progress. What is going on with hessian fake curtains in the bar? Really weird. Could do with much better signage to the bedrooms; it can easily take 10 minutes of wandering down corridors and up and down half hidden stairways to get there. On the plus side you do get a few hundred more steps in.

What can I say.... STUNNING doesn't cover it. The place is a dream. Rooms immaculate, beds and bedding are luxurious. Whole hotel decorated to a high standard. Bar welcoming and open till late. A MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO ANDY who even at the end of the evening was still friendly, helpful and funny. His passion and pride for Grand Villa Heights is commendable. The views on to Robin hood bay is breathtaking ,when we asked for sea view we never imagined the view we would have . The grounds are beautiful too, with a challenging cliff walk which is so worth doing just to see the seals in pup at the end of the walk. SHOUT OUT TO SEAL WATCH CREW . Who protect and monitor these lovely creatures . GREAT JOB !! All in all 'Grand villa heights' is proberly one of the best places I've ever stayed and I travel a lot. Last note - They do several wedding packages and the venues are spectacular at great prices. They are presently building a beautiful Chapel too. DEFINATELY RECOMEND 'GRAND VILLA HEIGHTS '

Thank you for a wonderful pre-wedding season overnight stay. A cliff top beauty! The staff were unwaveringly welcoming and helpful. Pet friendly in all aspects. Our room was outstanding with dual aspect views across the North Yorkshire coastline. Our teenage son had a room that is yet to be renovated, but the price reflected this and it was clean, comfortable and still great value. We dined in at the restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. I can whole heartedly recommend the beer battered fish - fresh from the ocean and a super generous serving. It’s not often that an athletic 15 year old boy says he’s full! This was a family break for pleasure, not business before wedding season really kicks in springtime, but it was helpful ‘research’ too. I’m crafting and leading a very special wedding ceremony here in July and I’m even more excited now. Highly recommend

Last minute trip away. Great location for walks, dog friendly hotel. £30 charge for the dog. Hotel currently going through renovations but this did not disturb us. All staff very friendly, bar area is lovely and the food we had on the evening was lovely. Breakfast included was also really nice with lots of options. We will come again.

I've not given a rating for the rooms as we were just up the road in a great Airbnb. What I can say is the food was good, although the wine choose was limited and not cheap. The service was friendly and good even though they seemed to be short of staff and when we were there, but they still did a good job. And then there's the view, which really is incredible! We had Sunday lunch and an evening meal a few days later. The monkfish Pakora was very good!

Room was clean but booked a king and got two singles pushed together. Tom in the bar was funny and great to talk to. He also makes the best drinks. Beautiful scenery and a nice walk around the grounds.
